With Great Wealth Comes Great Responsibility

An economic policy for all time

What if we could incentivise people with distortedly great amounts of wealth to spend that on benefitting all of civilisation?

For example, while closing other loopholes, we could create massive tax breaks for investing into society. This could include anything which improves society from environmental conservation to public infrastructure. Wouldn't it be a great thing if we encourage rich people to be the good people we hope they are?

The key here is that wherever the money goes, the public must be the beneficiaries, but the incentive is that the investor gets to decide what to fund, giving them agency over their money rather than fostering resentment over taxes.

Alongside this, society must be open to avoid stratefying people between priviledged communities and underfunded communities - one people working for the benefit of all.
